Defining the island getaway, the Hyatt Regency Aruba has been converted from its original traditional 'carnivale' design to a fresh and comfortable contemporary design.  Modern updates to the open air lobby's architectural finishes, light sandstone flooring and lighting boast the perfect contract to the dark stained timber beams.  The front desk features dramatic floor-to-ceiling decorative backlit screens.  Cylindrical chandeliers with contemporary furnishings and large white planters with swaying palms complete the arrival experience.  The outdoor bar, completely refinished in white and surrounded by modern daybeds and cluster seating with colorful accent pillows, is transformed at night into a youthful party lounge under the moonlit sky.  The refreshed restaurant interior with white walls, light-stained wood floors and contemporary furnishings is accented by soft blue/green ocean colors. The indoor/outdoor restaurant opens up to the beach with dramatic ocean views.
