The Watermark Hotel & Spa is the result of a sensitive renovation of a beloved San Antonio historic building, the L. Frank Saddlery Company, transforming it into a 5-star hotel and spa on the city’s elegant Riverwalk. From the inception of the project, the design intention was threefold: to express the spirit of Texas in an authentic, straightforward manner; to establish the connection between the L. Frank Saddlery Company and the land on which it sits; and to capture the essence of the area’s richly textured past, its quiet confidence, and the uniquely infectious warmth that is Texas.
